Sponsored by The Knot, Luxe Hotel, Artists for Trauma & Events by Cathy, the Celebration Expo is on Sunday, September 15th from 11 am to 6 pm at the Luxe Hotel on Sunset Blvd – and features all kinds of vendors, including event planners, bridal salons, skin care, cosmetic treatments, makeup & makeup artists, hair care, women’s apparel, jewelry, accessories, DJs & musicians. You’ll also be able to peruse party favors & gifts, florists & décor, gift registry invitations, bar services, photographers, videographers, pastry chefs, menswear, party rentals, photo booths and more. Whether you’re planning a wedding, holiday party, or special event – or if you just love to have fun, see fashion, and shop galore – this is the place to have a blast.
Tickets are free, and the first 500 to arrive receive a gift from The Knot! VIP passes are also available for a nominal fee.
One of the truly special things about the Celebration Expo is their runway fashion show. Rather than featuring professional models, Karen Michelle offers all kinds of women, girls and children the opportunity to walk the runway in beautiful fashions from different designers. All sizes, shapes, ages and ethnicities are welcomed, and you can feel the joy all over the room as the enthusiastic new models parade in front of the audience.
Karen Michelle who presents Celebration Expo believes in giving back. She created the Karen Michelle Heart Award which honors a person or organization that exemplifies the true meaning of embracing everyone, while striving to make the community and world we live in a better place for all. In March, 2019, it was presented to Laura Sharpe who founded Artists for Trauma, an organization that helps Level 1 trauma survivors positively reconnect with themselves, their families and their communities.
