Spread the love

If you’re planning a celebration, there’s no better place to host it than at Kings Dining and Entertainment in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. Open since November, 2015, in New City (Chicago’s vibrant entertainment, lifestyle, shopping, and dining district), this super bowling, gaming, and dining venue offers a range of packages for kids, adults, bachelorettes, family events, corporate/team building, and much more. You can choose from a variety of options featuring bowling, billiards, air hockey tables, shuffleboard, arcade games, ping pong, snacks, and award-winning dining. Guests can also request VIP and kid birthday party packages, as well as private room rentals.

Kings was established back in 2002, in the heart of Boston’s Black Bay area, with an inspiration to merge genuine food, unusual cocktails, and social gaming to create the ultimate entertainment experience. Kings has now expanded across the country, and includes an upscale retro-inspired décor with the best-in-industry service. When you walk inside the building, you are greeted by photos of famous celebrity visitors and guests, which were fun to check out.

Would you want to bowl in these heels?!

My friends and I had a blast at Kings! I hadn’t bowled in quite a while, and Kings heightened the experience for me as well. We checked out their recently revamped seasonal menu which featured several new, made-from-scratch menu items like Impossible Meatballs, plant-based meatballs made with diced pineapple and spicy Asian TeriDactyl sauce, baja grilled chicken salad, and the 100% plant-based Impossible Burger (among my favorites being a vegetarian). They also had mega-sized shakes, and giant chocolate chip cookie dough/strawberry shortcake sundaes. I was super excited about trying the sundaes, until I saw how massive they were: they easily could feed 10-20 people. Our group especially enjoyed the versatile and diverse food and drink menu, though it was difficult to enjoy the sundaes since our stomachs were already filled!

King’s Dining and Entertainment also offers an outside dining patio. Their new cocktail menu offers items from classical to creative recipes including; Cold Brew Martini with Double Espresso Vodka and Coffee Liqueur and a Mai Tai with light rum. One of our guests felt that the “highlight” of the evening for her was the very creamy and tasty White Russian!

The venue and staff were very accommodating and welcoming, while we sampled their latest summer menu and bowled on the lanes. We were also provided with very comfortable bowling shoes, which can be frustrating at other bowling establishments. They also had fun grey and black retro shoes, versus the less admirable red ones you usually find at your traditional bowling alley.

Time to bowl!

Though we were all a bit rusty at our bowling skills, we had a great time playing the night away, and feeling just like kids. Kings is really a great place for families to hang out and relax!
