Halloween has turned into the most over-the-top holiday this side of New Year’s Eve. So needing any extra help to make this is a memorable day probably isn’t needed, but when you decide to celebrate Halloween there are so many options to choose from. Halloween Bear

If you can’t give a scare in person, you can send a 3-D art Halloween card from Lovepop. Much more than a card, when these are opened you get a stunning pop up witch or Halloween bear that is as much art as it is a card. If you don’t want to go to the post office or you are out of stamps, Lovepop allows you to order online. Witch’s Brew

HI-CHEW partnered with Allison Kave of bar/bakery Butter & Scotch to create delicious candy-infused seasonal cocktails.

Mysterious Mezcal

  • Ingredients:
    • .5 ounces Mysterious Flavor HI-CHEW Infused Mezcal**
    • 1.5 ounces coconut milk
    • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
    • .5 ounce simple syrup
    • 1 large egg white
    • Angostura bitters for garnish
  • Method: Measure the mezcal, coconut milk, lime, simple syrup, and egg white into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously without ice for about 10 seconds, then fill with ice and shake for another 30 seconds, until very frothy. Double strain into a chilled coupe, garnish with Angostura bitters
  • **Infusions: The infusion ratio is one candy per one ounce of liquor. Soak candy until dissolved.
Mysterious Mezcal

Banana Choco Delight

  • Ingredients (Serves 2):
    • 2 ounces Banana HI-CHEW Infused Overproof Dark Rum
    • 1.5 tablespoons cocoa
    • 1.5 cups whole milk
    • 3 ounces dark chocolate
    • 1.5 tablespoons sugar
    • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
    • Whipped cream and banana garnish
  • Method:  In a small saucepan, heat half of the milk until warm, then whisk in the cocoa until no lumps remain. Add the remaining milk, chocolate, sugar, and peanut butter, and whisk until all is melted, smooth, and hot. Remove from the heat, stir in the rum, and divide between two mugs. Top with fresh whipped cream and a slice of caramelized banana.
  • **Infusions: The infusion ratio is one candy per one ounce of liquor. Soak candy until dissolved.
Banana Choco Delight

The Angry Spell is a cider-infused cocktail made by Angry Orchard mixologist partner Jeremy Oertel, sure to send chills down your spine with its crisp and refreshing flavor.

Ingredients:

4 oz Angry Orchard Crisp Apple

1 oz White Rum

0.75 oz Lime Juice

0.5 oz Ginger Syrup**

0.5 oz Creme de Cassis or Creme de Muir

Method: Add White Rum, Lime Juice and Ginger syrup to shaker. Strain into Collins glass with ice. Top with Angry Orchard Crisp Apple and Crème de Cassis. Garnish with lime wheel and blackberries.

**Ginger Syrup

Ingredients:

1 cup Finely Chopped Fresh Ginger

2 cups Sugar

2 cups Water

Method: Peel the ginger and then finely chop. Add all ingredients to the pot and bring to boil. Allow to cook for 2 min then remove from heat and let steep for 20 minutes. Strain syrup through a fine strainer. Keep refrigerated.

  • Virgil’s Real Barbecue at The LINQ Promenade is celebrating Halloween with The Virgil’s Cauldron. The spooky one-gallon cocktail comes complete with Skyy Vodka, a bleeding ice hand crawling out of the cauldron and guests’ choice of “brew” including strawberry, peach, grapefruit, blueberry and raspberry lemonade flavors. The magical concoction, priced at $46, is perfect for sharing with friends and is available until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

 

 

Win Big With Festive Contests
